Blueliner Marketing began its relationship with the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism (CIDOT) in the Fall of 2011. CIDOT was in the process of redesigning its main web property and entrusted the website’s search engine optimization to Blueliner. Blueliner was also engaged to help launch websites in secondary markets and maintain organic search optimization for all web properties.

 

In 2018, Blueliner increased the number of CIDOT’s keywords indexed by Google by an average of 63% above the defined target and increased branded organic keyword conversion rates by 10.25%. A highlight of this work included reaching page 1 of Google search results for the search term “Cayman Islands”, a keyword that has over 130k monthly searches and a ranking difficulty level of “hard”.
